This week we decided to go to All Bar One in York. This is a chain restaurant and cocktail bar. They have around 52 pubs/bars all over the UK. The one in York has one level with a stylish design and a modern atmosphere. The interior is mainly golden, black and bronze colours. This was very aesthetically pleasing and a great place for those perfect Instagram photos.
We got there around 9.30 pm and it was extremely quiet. This was nice because it made it easy to get served straight away. We can not imagine what it would have been like if it was busier, the service would have most certainly been delayed. As usually, we asked for a Pornstar Martini. We personally felt that it was a little disappointing. . This was because there was no foam on the top and we thought it had too much alcohol because it left a strong aftertaste. We asked the bar staff and they then informed us that they put vanilla vodka in it, and we realised that was the strong after taste. It was £9.25. Next was the mocktail and we choose the Passion Fruit Pornstar Mocktail. It is was bright red and looked very impressive. Not only this but it also had a strong citrus flavour and was very refreshing. This was £4.50. This one was Ada favourite because it was different from the other mocktails we had tried. She also felt it was fruity but had something different about it. Lastly was the Cocktail which we asked them to choose. They decided on a pineapple daiquiri. It was a bright yellow cocktail which stood out from the rest. This was my favourite because I really like pineapple and I felt that the alcohol and fruity taste balanced each other out. I
n total the drinks were £18.75.
The bar staff also informed us of the deals which they do. There are 5 o’clock which is 1 classic cocktail for a £5 from Sunday – Thursdays and they also do masterclasses for groups. This is where you can learn to make the cocktails. These were on boards on the restaurant and could be easily seen by all, so customers can ask about them.
Overall, we would recommend but personally, the Pornstar was not for us.
